Natural cancer treatment has been a near and dear topic to my heart since my grandma was cured of stage 4 lymphoma cancer in Tijuana, Mexico 34 years ago in 1990 only using diet. American doctors gave her 6 months to live and got mad at her for considering natural medicine. She found the Oasis of Hope hospital in Tijuana, Mexico and in 21 days her cancer had become half the size and in 1 year she was completely tumor and cancer free!
It's 2024 and she is still alive and cancer-free and I want to get her story out in hopes that others can find the same results. Now in her 80s when her friends get cancer, she tells them about the diet I will post below but they trust the American medical treatment and she said they all die.. She has become disheartened by it but I have decided to pick up the ball and I plan to make a book of her story and the diet. May she live long to tell about it!

The Sandi Harris Story
"In 1990 I was diagnosed ($6,200 later) in Good Samaritan Hospital, San Jose, California with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma cancer. I just refused to take any American treatment (chemo, radiation, or surgery). Something inside me said NO to American treatment so I was told about Mexico and their laetril treatment. I investigated and found a Christian Hospital which called back then "The Contreras Hospital" across from the Bull Ring in Tijuana and went there. [The hospital is now called Oasis of Hope"] By the time I got there I was in stage 4 lymphoma cancer. They charged me $4,200 for 4 days in hospital and a 21 day treatment with all the treatments, room, board included plus 6 month supply of vitamins to take home. I was allowed and was included in the cost to have a person go with me. In the 21 days I was there my cancer shrunk to half the size and when I went home following the same routine I had learned there. Also known as The Contreras Clinic, The Oasis of Hope Hospital has been treating cancer since 1963. It is run by Dr. Ernesto Contreras, M.D. and his son, Dr. Francisco Contreras, M.D. They are Spirit filled. First thing they did was lay hands on me and pray for me. I appreciated that so much.
Back then they had treated over 100,000 patients with a good success rate. The hospital is very clean and modern. The staff speak English.
It is particularly famous for its long and successful use of Laetrile and enzyme therapy, but they also have a cancer prevention program and offer a large variety of therapies including Managed Nutrition and the Body-Mind-and Spirit approach.
When I visited this facility, I was impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the medical personnel and I particularly liked the fact that each patient is assigned a personal companion who is always on call to provide whatever non-medical help may be needed. That could be anything from locating fresh stationery, assisting in hooking up a laptop computer (yes, each patient room has a modem connection available) or just having someone to talk to.
Each room has an extra non-hospital-type bed for a family member. Oasis provided free transportation between the hospital and the San Diego, California, airport. Potential patients are encouraged to have a free phone consultation with one of the hospital’s doctors before deciding to undergo treatment.
In 1999, The Gerson Institute moved its facilities to Oasis and this is where Charlette Gerson is currently working. Diet and nutrition is very important at this facility. Oasis uses mostly alternative therapies, but in certain situations they may use a combination of both conventional and alternative therapies. For example, for liver cancer they use a combination of 5FU (chemotherapy) with laetrile and inject it directly into the liver. They are having some good success with this.
There are several programs including a 4 Day Program for people doing chemotherapy who want to complement it with alternative approaches or for those show are not sure if alternative medicine is the best solution but want to try it. A program will be=2 0 designed during these four days for you to take home with you.
There is a strong religious side to this facility.
